Dresses work great for maternity sessions, either plain or floral, and textures like lace or linen look lovely.
Another option is a tank top with a drapey cardigan or open shirt. Go bold and bare your belly! A bikini or underwear with a loose open shirt or a dress with buttons that can be opened look great.
If you'd rather cover up, go with layers. Think a knit cardigan with fitted pants and top or dress.
Light or pastel colours are preferred - very dark tones can hide your bump sometimes. Avoid distracting logos or images - keep the focus on you.
